Welcome to No Such String!
My name is Ashley, and I’m the creator here.
I didn’t mean to start a business, but here we are!

In 2019, my little family of 3 became a foster family. We soon welcomed two great kids into our home. A year later, their newborn sister arrived, straight from the hospital.

With the newest addition to our family, DHS told us we’d need to find another home with an additional bedroom… in the 2020/2021 market!
Add to that the need for a larger vehicle, and supporting four children, our finances looked drastically different in a very short period of time.

In 2021, the court began talking about separating the siblings. We knew that no matter where they ended up, it needed to be with each other. So, we hired a lawyer to help advocate for their permanency.

Around that same time, I started making bracelets for some of the donors who support a mission I’m passionate about (I’m a Komen 3-Day walker, that is passionate about raising funds for breast cancer research, which is why our logo is PINK). One of those donors wanted to order for her friends, and one of those friends wanted to order for a teacher… and I think the rest is history.

No Such String officially launched on Instagram on October 1, 2021.

The first year took me completely by storm, and I’m now making beautiful things for so many people I have never even met. I’m so grateful for how you have served our family. All of the profits at No Such String continue to help support our family on this never ending journey. We are thrilled to announce that those 3 wonderful children, who have been with us for over 4 years, exited foster care on August 11th, 2023… Adoption Day!! While we will close our home to long term placements, we will remain a certified respite home in our state.

We would have never made it this far without you. Your continued support keeps us going.
